DREAMTEAM FEST: A TRULY UNIQUE EXPERIENCE FOR ULTIMATE LOVERS

VC is proud to partner up with our friends at Get Horizontal to make Dreamteam Fest 2019 even more spectacular than it was in its inaugural year in 2018. This event is completely unlike anything to hit the ultimate scene before. We talked to Johan Bommerez, known to most as Bommie, about the event.

Can you tell me more about the Dreamteam Fest experience? This is unlike anything we’ve ever seen! 

DreamTeam Fest is a magical frisbee & beach sports experience hosted by Get Horizontal, in partnership with VC Ultimate, BoardX and Spikeball.

It's an epic 3-day Indian Summer adventure on the beach and in the water in Montalivet, in the south of France. The idea gradually grew from our experience at tons of ultimate tournaments we played and visited over the years which always left us wanting more. We imagined what it would be like if tournaments were about more than just ultimate, and this is what we came up with. DreamTeam Fest is first and foremost about friends, and players you'd always wanted to bring together to form your ultimate (pun intended) DreamTeam, knowing that you'd be facing multiple beach sports challenges over the weekend. Add some nice parties, great food, our magical Pine Beach Paradise location and our glamorous tipi tents in our surf camp village and you're all set for a legendary weekend.

Give our readers tips on building their ultimate Dreamteam.

A DreamTeam consists of players you've always wanted to play with, or simply your best buddies and legendary teammates, both women and men. Choose wisely though, because you'll be facing multiple beach sports challenges over the entire weekend. The perfect DreamTeam is ready to take on ultimate games, as well as volleyball, Spikeball, Slip 'N' Sliding down our giant inflatable slide and other crazy water challenges like Stand Up Paddling or possibly even surfing.

Don't forget that your team also needs some pretty decent party skills to make it through the weekend. Most importantly though is that the ultimate DreamTeam is based on one thing: friendship. In short: bring your BFF's!

What are you most excited about?

We're most excited about bringing old and new friends together. Seeing all these smiles of players having the times of their lives in our little piece of paradise is simply unforgettable. That, and seeing people crash into the water at our Slip 'N' Slide competition. Fun guaranteed.
